1. Scope and acceptance
By accessing the Platform, creating an account, contacting us, submitting booking details or purchasing a service, you acknowledge this Policy. Where consent is the lawful basis for processing, we will seek clear consent for the specified purpose. You may decline optional processing; however, some information is necessary to complete a booking or deliver a requested service.
2. Personal data we may collect
We collect only information reasonably required for the stated purpose. Depending on how you use YAAGAM, this may include:
Account and contact data: name, mobile number, email address, OTP/login identifiers, profile information and preferred language.
Booking and Sankalp data: devotee name, family-member names, gotra, nakshatra, rashi, date of birth, time and place of birth, manokamna or prayer intention, selected pooja/homam, preferred date, temple and other ritual details voluntarily provided by you.
Astrology data: birth details, questions, consultation notes, report inputs and information you voluntarily share for an astrology or Panchang-related service.
Delivery data: recipient name, postal address, PIN code, mobile number and delivery instructions when you request Prasad, a pooja kit, an energised item or another physical product.
Transaction data: booking or order ID, amount, payment status, transaction reference, payment method type, invoice and refund information. Full card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs and net-banking passwords are entered directly with the payment processor and are not intended to be stored by YAAGAM.
Communication data: emails, WhatsApp/SMS/RCS messages, call notes, customer-support requests, feedback, reviews, complaints and files or images you submit.
Technical and usage data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device information, operating system, referral source, pages viewed, clicks, session times, crash logs and security logs.
Advertising and analytics data: events such as page view, service view, add to cart, initiate checkout, purchase and campaign attribution, where cookies, pixels, tags or similar tools are lawfully enabled.
Please do not provide Aadhaar numbers, PAN numbers, bank passwords, card PINs, UPI PINs or other unnecessary high-risk credentials unless a specific lawful requirement is clearly communicated through an authorised YAAGAM process. YAAGAM staff will never ask you to share OTPs, card PINs or UPI PINs.
3. How we collect data
- Directly from you when you register, book, pay, request support, complete a form, communicate with us or submit Sankalp/astrology details.
- Automatically through cookies, server logs, security tools, analytics and advertising technologies, subject to your choices and applicable law.
- From authorised service providers such as payment gateways, courier partners, messaging providers and advertising platforms, for example payment status or delivery status.
- With your device permission, from optional app features such as notifications, camera, gallery/files, microphone or location when the feature clearly requires it. YAAGAM will not intentionally access device content or functions without the permission presented through your device or the Platform.
- From a person booking on behalf of a family member or another devotee. The person providing the details confirms that they have authority or permission to do so.
4. Purposes for which we use personal data
- Create and manage your account and authenticate access.
- Confirm, schedule, coordinate and fulfil pooja, homam, Chadhava, astrology and other devotional bookings.
- Share the minimum necessary Sankalp details with the relevant temple, priest, purohit, astrologer or authorised service partner.
- Send booking confirmations, reminders, service updates, receipts, video/photo links, Prasad tracking and customer-support communications through WhatsApp, SMS, email, calls or other selected channels.
- Process payments, detect failed or duplicate transactions, issue invoices and handle cancellations, disputes and refunds.
- Deliver Prasad or products, manage courier enquiries and address damaged, wrong or missing deliveries.
- Provide astrology reports, consultations, Panchang-related features and personalised devotional information requested by you.
- Protect the Platform, prevent fraud, investigate abuse, maintain logs and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
- Improve our website, services, customer experience and operational quality through analytics and aggregated reporting.
- Send promotional or festival-related messages where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You may opt out at any time without affecting essential service messages.
- Comply with tax, accounting, legal, regulatory and law-enforcement obligations.
5. Consent and communication choices
Where we rely on consent, the request will describe the data and purpose in clear language. Consent for optional marketing or analytics is separate from the data necessary to complete a booking.
WhatsApp and booking consent: Before the first booking under the current privacy notice, the account holder is asked to affirmatively consent to YAAGAM processing the account holder's WhatsApp number for authentication, OTP verification and essential booking communications, and processing booking, devotee, ritual and delivery details to arrange and fulfil the requested service. YAAGAM may share only the minimum necessary details with the selected temple, priest, courier or other authorised service partner. This account-level consent may be retained with its purpose, notice version, language, source and acceptance timestamp and need not be requested again for a later booking while the same consent remains valid and has not been withdrawn.
Devotee authority for each booking: For every booking, the account holder must separately confirm that they have the permission or lawful authority to provide the personal and ritual details of every named devotee included in that booking. This confirmation may be retained with the booking, confirmation timestamp and applicable notice version.
You may withdraw consent or request access, correction or deletion through the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Centre or by emailing support@yaagam.in. You may also use account settings, cookie controls, or an unsubscribe/STOP option where applicable. Withdrawal does not invalidate processing already carried out and may prevent us from continuing a service that requires the withdrawn data.
6. Cookies, analytics and advertising technologies
The Platform may use cookies, local storage, pixels, Conversion API integrations, analytics tags and similar technologies. These may include tools provided by Meta, Google, hosting providers or other authorised partners. We classify them broadly as:
Essential: required for security, session management, checkout, fraud prevention and core Platform functions. These cannot always be disabled through our controls.
Functional: remember language, location, preferences and other choices.
Analytics: help us understand traffic, errors and service performance.
Advertising: measure campaigns, attribute conversions and show more relevant advertising.
Optional analytics and advertising technologies will be controlled through the consent mechanism where required. You may also manage cookies in your browser. Blocking some cookies may reduce functionality. Third-party tools process data under their own terms and privacy notices. Essential local storage may hold login status, role, session-refresh time, language or preference information and the WhatsApp number associated with an account. Optional measurement providers may include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. YouTube videos are loaded in privacy-enhanced mode from youtube-nocookie.com only after the user permits optional media; Google and YouTube may then receive IP address, browser and device details, referring page, player interactions and viewing information and may use cookies or local storage under their own notices. Optional analytics and third-party media remain disabled unless the user accepts them through YAAGAM consent controls. A user may withdraw or change that choice at any time through Cookie settings in the website footer.
7. When and with whom we share data
We do not sell or rent personal data. We disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, including to:

Users accessing YAAGAM from outside India are responsible for local requirements that apply to them, including customs, import or biosecurity restrictions for Prasad or physical items.
9. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data and risk. Measures may include encrypted transmission, access controls, role-based permissions, secure payment gateways, logging, monitoring, backups, vendor controls and incident-response procedures. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You must protect your phone, OTPs and login credentials and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised account access.
10. Personal data breaches
If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting you, we will investigate, take reasonable mitigation steps and provide notifications to affected users and competent authorities in the manner and within the timelines required by applicable law. Notices may be sent through your registered account, email, SMS, WhatsApp or another available channel.
11. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose described, to provide support, maintain booking and consent records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and comply with tax, GST, accounting, corporate and other legal requirements. Account and marketing data may be deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Transaction, invoice, refund, security and dispute records may be retained for the statutory period even after account deletion. 13. Children and family-member data
The Platform is intended for adults capable of entering a contract. Before creating an account or making a booking, the account holder must affirmatively confirm that they are at least 18 years old and are acting on their own behalf or as a lawful parent or guardian. YAAGAM may retain the confirmation, applicable notice version and timestamp as evidence of consent. A person under 18 may use YAAGAM only through or under the supervision of a parent or lawful guardian. Where we knowingly process a child’s personal data, we will seek verifiable parental or guardian consent when required and will not knowingly use such data for tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising prohibited by applicable law. A user submitting a family member’s details confirms that the user has permission or lawful authority to do so.
14. Third-party links and services
The Platform may link to temples, payment gateways, map services, social networks, app stores, video hosts or other third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. YAAGAM is not responsible for data you provide directly to an external service outside our control.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. The updated version will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be notified through the Platform or your registered contact details. Changes will not reduce rights already accrued where prohibited by law.
