Service Partner & Vendor Code of Conduct
Effective / Last Updated: 24 July 2026
This Code sets the minimum standards expected from every temple, trust, priest, purohit, astrologer, courier, developer, hosting or payment provider, marketing agency, consultant, supplier, contractor, vendor and approved subcontractor that provides services, handles information, uses YAAGAM assets or represents itself in connection with YAAGAM (each a “Partner”). It supplements, and does not replace, the signed agreement, scope of work, commercial terms, data-processing terms and temple-specific arrangements applicable to the Partner.
1. Scope, acceptance and flow-down
- The Partner confirms that it has authority to accept this Code and will maintain the registrations, permissions, qualifications and approvals required for its activities.
- The Partner must ensure that personnel and approved subcontractors involved in YAAGAM work understand and comply with standards at least equivalent to this Code.
- If this Code conflicts with applicable law, the law prevails. If it conflicts with a signed YAAGAM agreement, the signed agreement prevails unless this Code imposes a higher lawful conduct, safety or data-protection standard expressly incorporated into that agreement.
2. Independent status and authority
- Unless a written agreement expressly states otherwise, the Partner is an independent contractor and is not an employee, agent, franchisee, joint-venture partner or legal representative of YAAGAM.
- The Partner must not bind YAAGAM, collect money in YAAGAM’s name, make commitments on YAAGAM’s behalf, or represent that it has authority beyond the written scope provided by YAAGAM.
3. Business integrity, anti-bribery and records
- Conduct all business honestly, fairly and transparently and comply with applicable anti-bribery, anti-corruption, fraud, tax, accounting and corporate-governance requirements.
- Do not offer, request, authorise or accept a bribe, kickback, facilitation payment, secret commission or anything of value intended to improperly influence a decision or obtain an unfair advantage.
- Submit accurate invoices and claims supported by genuine records, and maintain complete books and evidence for amounts charged, offerings purchased, dakshina, services performed and deliveries made.
- Promptly disclose any actual, potential or apparent conflict of interest, including a close personal or financial relationship with a YAAGAM employee or decision-maker connected to the engagement.
4. Devotional-service integrity and quality
- Perform the confirmed pooja, homam, offering, astrology service or other devotional activity with due respect for temple customs, religious practice, safety requirements and the reasonable instructions communicated for the Booking.
- Use suitably authorised and competent personnel. Do not substitute a materially different temple, ritual, priest, date, item or method without YAAGAM’s prior approval and, where the Booking is materially affected, the customer’s consent.
- Use Sankalp and devotee information only for the confirmed service, pronounce or record details with reasonable care, and promptly report any error or inability to perform the requested service.
- Do not create, alter or submit false photographs, videos, receipts, attendance records, temple confirmations, courier records or other Service Proof. Any proof supplied must truthfully relate to the relevant Booking.
- Do not promise guaranteed spiritual, medical, relationship, employment, business, financial, legal or material outcomes. Statements to customers must remain consistent with YAAGAM’s approved service description and the faith-based disclaimer in the Terms.
- Protect all money, offerings, samagri, Prasad and sacred or personalised items entrusted for a Booking and use them only for the authorised purpose.
5. Human rights and lawful employment
- All work must be voluntary. Forced, bonded, trafficked, prison or coercive labour is prohibited.
- Do not employ anyone below the minimum age permitted by applicable law or in work prohibited for a child or adolescent. Verify work eligibility where required.
- Comply with applicable requirements on wages, benefits, deductions, working hours, rest, leave, workplace dignity, non-discrimination and freedom from harassment or abuse.
- Provide a reasonably safe, healthy and clean working environment and appropriate training, protective measures and emergency procedures for the work performed.
6. Privacy, Sankalp data and confidentiality
- Process only the minimum personal data necessary for the authorised YAAGAM purpose, including devotee names, gotra, birth details, prayer intentions, contact details or delivery information supplied for a Booking.
- Use personal data only on YAAGAM’s documented instructions and applicable law. Do not contact devotees for the Partner’s own marketing, build an independent customer list, sell data, or use it for an unrelated purpose.
- Apply reasonable access controls and confidentiality obligations. Share information only with personnel who need it for the service and do not disclose it publicly, including during photographs, videos, live streams or social-media posts.
- Notify YAAGAM without undue delay of any suspected loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, fraud, security weakness or personal-data breach, preserve relevant evidence and cooperate with investigation, mitigation and legally required notifications.
- Return, securely delete or anonymise personal data and confidential information when the purpose ends or YAAGAM instructs, except where retention is required by law or the signed agreement.
- Do not appoint a subcontractor that will access YAAGAM or devotee data without prior authorisation and equivalent written privacy, security and confidentiality obligations.
7. Information security and platform access
- Protect YAAGAM credentials, OTPs, API keys, devices, systems and accounts; use access only for the authorised scope; and remove access promptly when personnel change roles or leave.
- Do not probe, scan, scrape, reverse engineer, overload or attempt unauthorised access to YAAGAM systems, and do not introduce malware, bots, malicious code or insecure integrations.
- Maintain reasonable security practices appropriate to the service, such as supported software, security updates, anti-malware controls, backups, restricted administrator access and secure transmission of sensitive information.
8. Brand, communications and public representation
- Do not use the YAAGAM name, logo, trademark, domain, screenshots, letterhead or other brand asset without prior written permission and only within the approved purpose, format and period.
- Do not issue a press statement, advertisement, testimonial, public post or customer communication that suggests endorsement, exclusivity, authority or partnership beyond the written agreement.
- Communications concerning temples, priests, religions and devotees must be respectful, accurate and non-misleading. The Partner must not publish confidential Booking details or identifiable devotional media without the required approvals and consent.
9. Intellectual property, assets and Service Proof
- Respect YAAGAM’s and third parties’ intellectual-property rights. Do not copy, sell, license, reuse or create derivative commercial material from YAAGAM software, content, reports, photographs, videos or documents except as authorised in writing.
- Use YAAGAM equipment, funds, documents, data, systems and other tangible or intangible assets carefully and only for the authorised business purpose. Prevent loss, misuse, theft and unauthorised transfer.
- Service Proof and customer-specific media must be authentic, securely transferred and retained only for the agreed operational period. Commercial reuse, public broadcast or misleading editing is prohibited without written authority and any required temple, priest and customer consent.
10. Gifts, hospitality and conflicts
- Gifts and hospitality connected to YAAGAM work must be lawful, infrequent, modest and incapable of improperly influencing a decision. Cash or cash-equivalent gifts and concealed benefits are prohibited.
- The Partner must disclose an offered or received benefit that could reasonably appear to compromise impartiality, and must follow any stricter written YAAGAM policy communicated for the engagement.
11. Health, safety, environment and sacred materials
- Follow applicable fire, electrical, crowd, food, transport, workplace and public-safety requirements, particularly for homams, lamps, smoke, large gatherings, Prasad preparation and courier fulfilment.
- Use reasonable measures to reduce waste and unsafe disposal of packaging, oils, ash, flowers, food, chemicals or other materials, while respecting temple custom and environmental law.
- Promptly report an accident, injury, contamination, tampering, unsafe condition or other event that may affect a Booking, a devotee, the public, YAAGAM or the Partner’s personnel.
12. Subcontractors and supply chain
- Use subcontractors only where permitted by the signed agreement or approved by YAAGAM. The Partner remains responsible for their acts, omissions, quality, security and compliance.
- Make reasonable efforts to apply equivalent integrity, labour, privacy, security, intellectual-property and environmental standards throughout the Partner’s supply chain connected to YAAGAM work.
13. Records, complaints, audit and cooperation
- Maintain records reasonably necessary to verify Booking performance, customer details supplied, funds received, invoices, refunds, Service Proof, delivery and compliance for the period stated in the agreement or required by law.
- Respond promptly and truthfully to YAAGAM enquiries, complaints, security incidents and customer-service escalations, and preserve evidence relevant to an investigation or dispute.
- On reasonable notice, provide information or records needed for YAAGAM to verify compliance, investigate a complaint or meet a legal obligation, subject to confidentiality, privilege and applicable law.
14. Breach, remedies and survival
- A material breach may result in corrective-action requirements, suspension of access or new assignments, rejection of unsupported invoices, removal from the Platform, termination of the engagement, recovery of lawful losses or reporting to competent authorities.
- YAAGAM may require immediate protective action where a breach creates a risk to devotees, temple sanctity, safety, personal data, payments, Platform security, brand integrity or legal compliance.
- Obligations concerning confidentiality, personal data, intellectual property, assets, records, audit cooperation, liability and any provision intended by its nature to continue will survive termination or expiry.
