Kotayil Kovilakam Sri Krishna Temple

The Kotayil Kovilakam Sreekrishna Swamy Temple is an ancient temple situated in the Chendamangalam village of Paravur Taluk, Ernakulam district. Lord Sreekrishna is enshrined here as the primary deity. Historically, the temple and its surrounding areas served as the headquarters of the Villarvattom Kshatriya rulers. Later, this region came under the control of the Paliath Achan family. The temple is famous for unique local rituals such as the Laja Homam and the Nava Chandika Yagam.
